Make the promise precise
Name the result, maker, receiver, deliverable, constraints and what will count as done.
Outside Chair — Task · Free to start
Task records who promised what, who accepts it, what counts as done and which evidence proves it, then shows only what needs your judgment.
Not another to-do list
Use Task for a material result whose agreement, evidence and acceptance matter—not for everyday activity tracking.
Name the result, maker, receiver, deliverable, constraints and what will count as done.
One person can hold both roles. When two people are involved, each confirms the same proposal through their own account.
The maker submits the deliverable and evidence. Task does not turn that submission into acceptance.
Different positions and the deciding authority remain visible until the named person resolves them.
Quiet commitments stay quiet. Missing evidence, a changed outcome or a result awaiting review comes forward.
Accept, repair, reframe or stop without rewriting what was originally agreed.
One clear loop
Worked example · supplier resilience
Paste these prompts in order. The same pattern works when you make and judge your own commitment or when different people hold the two roles.
FRAME
PromptPrepare a commitment for a supplier-resilience pilot. The Operations Lead will deliver a tested recovery plan; the COO will judge it. It must cover the two critical suppliers, name a backup for each and test recovery timing by 15 November. Show the exact proposal first.
The result and the limits are clear before anyone promises delivery.
COMMIT
PromptRecord my agreement as the Operations Lead. Then ask the COO to review and confirm the same proposal through their own Outside Chair account.
Each person confirms only for themselves.
ASSURE
PromptSubmit the recovery plan and test evidence. Installer training and price acceptance are supported. The supplier recovery timing remains unsupported because the second test was not completed. State that limitation clearly.
The work is visible without claiming more than the evidence supports.
REVIEW
PromptPrepare a repair decision. Keep the accepted evidence, require the missing second recovery test and leave the COO as the deciding authority. After the repaired evidence is submitted, prepare acceptance with the remaining risk visible.
The receiver repairs the gap, then accepts the supported result.
